Hello, and welcome to this new channel! Here are a few notes on the discussions we had during our meetings in Trieste last week and the priorities that have emerged. I hope this will be a good starting point for many future conversations on this channel. No strategy is meaningful without a time reference, so to begin our work we identified two target times: December 2022 and September 2023.By the end of 2022 we will need to meet some KPI in order to release a next round of funding, these KPIs are related to:
By September 2023 (12 months from October) we have confirmed the goals that we had set for our impact maps:
We used these consideration to prioritise our roadmap, find below the next steps for our product. These are sorted by priority (we will start from the top), but of course some of these will be worked in parallel by different parts of the team.
There are currently about 25 companies that have started using our business product organically. A first step to increase this number (which will also help us meet the end of year KPI) is restructuring the way this product is presented, improve the signup journey and overall make the product easier to find, understand and buy. Some of the issues that we want to takle are:
Introduce tools to allow readers to provide feedback about the briefing they are reading every day. One hypothesis to investigate is that users who can provide feedback and ask for customisations will be more likely to convert at the end of a trial period. More in general we want to understand better the interest in future personalisation options and provide an analysis of how news are received to the content creation team.
The main goal for the future of Good Morning Italia is to create new ways for customers to find our briefing and become subscribers. To achieve this goal we will need to try many options and find what works best.We are planning to introduce new software components which will allow us to easily create new ways for readers to become customers: from the ability to sign-up in a widget hosted on any web page (and not necessarily on the Good Morning Italia web site), to integration with a Customer Relationship Management tool, to the ability to create different types of product with variable trial times, prices, discounts, etc. This will be one of the most important tools that our new marketing manager and the marketing agencies we will employ will have to find a good product-market fit.
