Lean Research: a method
Key aspects
Things we want to accomplish with a research:
- Focus on our target users view
- Research quickly and smartly
- Get measurable insights and data
Methods
There are different research methods depending on our goal:
- Quantitative research: to measure a phenomenon, usually through a survey (Google Forms, Typeform)
- Qualitative research: to understand a phenomenon
- Interview: individual interview with target or an expert on topic (less responses, but less bias)
- Focus group: collective interview with moderator (more responses, but more collective bias)
- Observation: observe habits in their natural environment (ie. etnography)
- Mixed research: partly understand and partly measure a phenomenon (ie. open ended questions)

Checklist
What we need to conduct a good research:
- Research question and methodology: what do we want to test and how?
- Respondents and incentive: people willing to participate and why
- Data collection and analysis: what did we get and how can we learn from it?
